Colorectal cancer affects not only those who are diagnosed, but their families, friends and caregivers as well. CCA offers a variety of resources for friends and family including information on how to be a better caregiver and how to take care of you during this difficult time. Research has shown that caregivers themselves often are at increased risk for depression and illness, especially if they do not receive adequate support from family, friends, and the community. CCA believes that throughout your caregiving journey you will have questions and your own needs related to the many aspects of caring for a loved one. We want to help meet these challenges by providing quality caregiver education, information, and support. We also encourage friends and family members to visit the patient support page as well to learn more about staging, treatment and clinical trials available.
The links below will provide you with helpful information regarding the decisions and challenges that lie ahead.
