SIR-Spheres® Outpatient Radiation Treatment for the Management of Liver Tumors

SIR-Spheres microspheres are a localized radiation therapy that delivers a dose of internal radiation up to 40 times higher than conventional external beam therapy. SIR-Spheres microspheres are the only FDA-approved microsphere for patients with inoperable metastatic colorectal cancer to the liver. The treatment is typically administered by an interventional radiologist as an outpatient procedure.
