Cincinnati Undy 5000 5K Run Brings Greater Awareness to Colon Cancer

The Cincinnati Undy 5000 5K run was held on Sunday, October 24 at 9:00 AM at Reds Stadium, Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati, OH.  Almost 300 residents participated in the event to help bring greater awareness to colon cancer, the 2nd leading cause of cancer death in the United States.

More than $35,000 was raised, and a generous portion of the proceeds will be dispersed locally to fund services for those diagnosed with colon cancer.

National sponsors of this event included Amgen Oncology, ASCRS (American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons), Bristol Myers Squibb, Ethicon Endo-Surgery, Genentech, MITA (Medical Imaging and Technology Alliance) and Salix Pharmaceuticals.
