2012 Denver Undy 5000

On June 23, 2012, the Colon Cancer Alliance and the residents of Denver, Colorado braved the 97 degree heat to run and walk to fight colon cancer. At the beautiful City Park, nearly 1,100 participants came together (in their underwear!) in honor of and in memory of those who have been affected by colon cancer. These local participants helped the CCA raise over $110,000 to help support local and national awareness, screening, and prevention programs. A portion of the proceeds will be left behind with the University of Colorado Cancer Center’s Colorado Colorectal Screening Program to support colon cancer screening programs for uninsured Coloradoans.
