Record-Breaking St. Louis Undy Closes Out Awareness Month

On March 31, 2012, the final day of colon cancer awareness month, the Colon Cancer Alliance (CCA) came to St. Louis, Missouri’s Forest Park for the 4th annual Undy 5000. Over 1,780 participants came out to run in their undies for colon cancer awareness, making this record-breaking Undy 5000 the largest one yet!
Local participants helped the CCA raise over $120,000 to help support local and national awareness, screening, and prevention programs.

Local sponsors included Siteman Cancer Center, Barnes Jewish Hospital, Washing University in St. Louis, Gateway Gastroenterology, Clayco Construction, and Walgreens. National sponsors include Dulcolax, Genentech, Salix Pharmaceuticals, Ethicon Endo-Surgery and Amgen Oncology. Thank you to all the Undy 5000 participants and to the Voices of Gateway Chapter of the Colon Cancer Alliance for helping put on this event.
