Fundraise to Benefit Spanish Outreach

Help the CCA create patient and healthcare provider outreach campaigns for the Latino community. Latino health concerns and practices often vary across communities. However, colon cancer, and related preventive health screenings, are often taboo subjects. Therefore, these patients are diagnosed too frequently and often at advanced stages of the disease. Donate to this program if you want to help us create a train-the-trainer curriculum for healthcare professionals. The program will help increase their understanding and ability to address the unique concerns that may be present in their Latino patients.

In addition, you could assist our efforts to produce targeted awareness campaigns to increase Latino screening and early detection rates. Currently, the CCA has the following Spanish resources: a Latino Medical Consultant, Dr. Jose Mendoza; a peer to peer Buddy program; and select educational and website materials.
